It’s actually pretty simple. The Department of Justice is supposed to be nonpartisan and serve the people—not any one politician.
So when the same guy whose face is plastered on authoritarian-style banners appears to be getting special treatment, we’re supposed to just… ignore that? And questioning it is somehow controversial?
Come on.
At some point, this stops being about left vs. right and starts being about whether we still believe in equal justice under the law.
Conservatives—seriously—wake up. If the system bends for one person, it can bend against anyone. The conman doesn’t just con “them.” He cons all of us.
